Fastest Job Search Oct 20, 2021

Every year we come across a lot of new job portals. They promise to deliver fast-paced jobs right into your email. You are lured and soon find yourself signing up. Having been excited, you wait for some responses from them. Nothing seems to fill the void. You once again search the fastest job search sites on google.

Well, if you have already gone through the phase of jumping from one job portal to the next in the nick of the right opportunities and still waiting for opportunities to come. Remember, you are not the only one. Let me tell you the story of my friend, Uday (name changed).

He worked as a Sales Manager in an MNC. Having worked for over 2 years, he was touted as the best salesman in the company. 70% of the sales belonged to him. Everything was going smooth and perfect. This year, he had a small argument with his boss on his increment. He was not happy and took a week off. He had already decided to find another job in a week. Is that possible? What do you think?

He applied for over 60 positions and got screened and selected in Adobe India with a whopping package of 48 LPA. It all happened in just a week's time. I listened to his story with much delight and intrigue. He shared a few secrets with me. Let's get to know them one by one.

Step 1: Update your Resume

Update your Resume

Your resume is your passport to your dream job. You should update your resume at regular intervals by updating your new honed skills. Also, as per a study, 90% of resumes are rejected by HR. So, our goal should be to prepare a good resume free of grammatical errors. Do not hesitate to cut out skills that are irrelevant to the profile you are applying for.

Step 2: Update your Social Media profiles

These days, almost every employer checks your activity beyond your work. Before hiring you, they also do a background checkup of your social media profiles. About 90% of employers look at potential employees' social media profiles, and 79% have rejected a candidate based on what they found. So, do not hesitate to remove content from all your social media handles which might affect your candidature in your dream company.

Good communication skills are essential to get a job faster. Various companies require candidates for different positions. Majorly, they look for confident candidates who can communicate effectively. If you are looking for a way to improve your leadership and communication skills, Toastmasters Club is one of the best ways.

I have learned from a salesman. The success ratio is very simple. You reach out ten to people and 90% might reject you. Seize those 10% chances. Make sure you reach out to more people. Ultimately, you will taste success.

As my friend, Uday had applied to more than sixty positions. He was screened for four positions and got an interview in just two. And out of those two, he landed a job offer from one. So, never stop trying and applying for jobs. Your dream job awaits you as eagerly as you for it.
